LOGOS Program for Children and Youth

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place.  When he finished one of his disciples said to him,

"Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."         Luke 11: 1

We are in the planning stage at this time.  More information will be posted.

What is Logos?

LOGOS enables young people to experience a Christian "summer camp" on a weekly basis. Bible Study, Recreation, Worship, and Family Time are offered each week for six weeks after school.

Students from first grade through eighth grade can participate in this program designed to promote Christian fellowship and studies in the Bible.  High School students are encouraged to be student helpers.

Mission Statement

The mission of LOGOS is to train adults in a ministry that: Builds Christian relationships, nurtures youth and children into a committed faith relationship with Jesus Christ, and prepares them for a life of Christian discipleship.

Four Part Program

In weekly sessions of three hours, children and youth participate in the four areas of the LOGOS Program: Worship Skills, Recreation, Bible Study, and Family Time. The four parts are modeled after the teachings of the early Church as described in Acts 2:42

“They spent their time learning the apostles' teaching, sharing, breaking bread, and praying together.”

Part I.

Family Time: All participants will meet together to share a meal, learn to serve others, use table manners, be courteous, and experience being part of the family of God. Each table will be led by Table Parents.

Part II

Recreation: The goal of Recreation/Play Time is to experience great fun at the expense of no one else. Crazy games and group interaction help children reveal themselves in play.

Part III

Bible Study: Bible Study is the heart of the LOGOS Ministry. Children will meet in appropriate age group settings with trained staff in teaching the Bible. Children will learn about the people of the Bible and important lessons from Christ.

Part IV

Worship Skills: Children will learn different types of worship skills such as: choir, chimes, drama, puppets, and speaker's choir.
